Discover how assessment homes stabilise young people in crisis:
Insights into care, clinical and education models
Date: Thursday 7 November 2024
Time: 10:00-11:00am
Duration: 1 hour
Assessment homes offer a lifeline to young people in crisis.
This webinar will give you a deeper understanding of how assessment homes work, the clinical process, education goals and how they inform each young person’s future pathway.
What you'll learn:
- The care model: from pre-placement to week 12
Kim Bell, Esland’s assessment homes Operations Manager, will walk you through our care model. From preparing for the child’s arrival to their progress over the 12-week period, Kim will explain how we provide a nurturing environment and create a long-term care plan. She will conclude with a real-life case study of a child whose life was positively impacted by our approach. - Clinical process & recommendations
Dr Nicholas Johl, Clinical Psychologist at Esland, will explain the psychological assessments we conduct during the 12-week programme. You’ll learn how we evaluate each child's emotional and behavioural needs and how we work with local authorities to make informed recommendations—whether for continued residential care, fostering, or other suitable placements. - Education goals & achievements
Kelly Pope, Head Teacher at Esland Daven School, will outline how education plays a key role in our assessments. She will share examples of the academic progress and qualifications achieved by children in our care, demonstrating how our personalised approach ensures that every child has the opportunity to thrive through education. - Assessment home locations
Billy Dawson, Business Development Manager will summarise the locations of our assessment homes across the UK and explain how each facility is equipped to meet the specific needs of the children in our care.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about assessment homes and how they are transforming the lives of young people.
