We’re delighted to share that Ellie Twaites and Karl Haywood have both been named as finalists in the National Children & Young People Awards 2026.
The awards celebrate the achievements of people and organisations working across the children and young people sector, recognising those whose commitment and contribution make a difference to children, young people and families.
Ellie Twaites has been shortlisted for The Children’s Home Manager Award (Central), recognising the important role she plays in leading and supporting her team and creating positive experiences and outcomes for the children in her care.
Karl Haywood has been named as a finalist for The Foster Carer Award, celebrating the dedication and commitment foster carers bring to providing children and young people with safe, supportive and nurturing environments.
Being selected as a finalist is a fantastic achievement in itself, and we’re incredibly proud to see two people from Esland recognised on a national stage.
Their success is also a reflection of the care, commitment and determination we see from colleagues across Esland every day as we work together to change children’s lives for the better.
A huge congratulations to Ellie and Karl from everyone at Esland. We wish them both the very best of luck for the awards!
