This year’s competition is centred around four values-led themes: BOLD, FUN, CURIOUS and KIND. The initiative encourages our children and young people to take part in outdoor activities that promote wellbeing, learning and shared experiences.

Homes can enter one or more of the four categories, which range from creative outdoor transformations and growing your own produce, to supporting wildlife and encouraging active outdoor play. Schools will compete for an Overall School Winner award.

In addition to category and overall prizes, Esland will also present two Young Person Awards, recognising enthusiasm, involvement and creativity, including an award for a photograph taken by a young person.

Judging will begin in late June, with school winners announced in July and home winners celebrated in September.

Esland in Bloom continues to provide meaningful opportunities for children and young people to engage with nature, build confidence and develop new skills in both our schools and homes.
